description Overview

mcp-webflow — Webflow MCP Server

Manage Webflow sites, CMS collections, items, and publish deployments from your AI agents.

Webflow is the visual web development platform used by designers and marketers to build and manage content-rich websites without writing code. This MCP server exposes the Webflow API v2 — letting your AI agents create and update CMS items, publish sites, and manage collection content, making it possible to automate content operations that would otherwise require logging into Webflow and editing manually.

Live endpoint: https://mcp.aerostack.dev/s/aerostack/mcp-webflow

What You Can Do

  • Create and update CMS collection items to publish new blog posts, product listings, or team members from external data sources or AI-generated content
  • Publish a Webflow site to production from an automated workflow after content is reviewed and approved
  • List and inspect CMS collections and their field schemas so agents know the exact structure before writing data
  • Manage CMS content at scale — bulk create, update, or delete items across collections

Frequently asked questions

What is the Webflow MCP server and what can it do? +

The Webflow MCP server is hosted on Aerostack and exposes these tools to your AI agent: `_ping`, `list_sites`, `get_site`, `publish_site`, `list_collections`. You get one hosted URL — no self-hosting — that works from Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT, Gemini, VS Code, or any MCP-compatible client, and you can share it with your team or combine it with other MCP servers in a workspace.

Is the Webflow MCP server hosted, or do I have to run it myself? +

It's hosted on Aerostack's edge infrastructure — you don't deploy or maintain anything. Add it to a workspace and you get one authenticated URL, with secrets encrypted, that any AI agent or editor can connect to. Use it solo or share the same URL across your whole team.

Which AI agents and editors can use the Webflow MCP server? +

Any MCP client: Claude and Claude Code, Cursor, ChatGPT, Gemini, Windsurf, Cline, VS Code, and custom agents. Because it's one hosted URL, the same Webflow MCP server works everywhere — and you can compose it with other MCP servers, skills, and functions behind a single workspace URL.

How do I install the Webflow MCP server in Claude Desktop? +

Add the following to your Claude Desktop config (`claude_desktop_config.json`): ```json { "mcpServers": { "@aerostack/mcp-webflow": { "command": "npx", "args": ["-y", "@aerostack/@aerostack/mcp-webflow"] } } } ``` Then restart Claude Desktop and the tools will appear automatically.

How do I use the Webflow MCP server in Cursor? +

In Cursor, open **Settings → MCP** and add: ```json { "name": "@aerostack/mcp-webflow", "command": "npx", "args": ["-y", "@aerostack/@aerostack/mcp-webflow"] } ``` Save and reload Cursor. The MCP tools will be available in Agent mode.

Does Webflow MCP require authentication? +

Yes. Webflow requires authentication. Check the MCP's documentation for the required credentials.
